Ingenious Planning

That weird moment when my 2 year old drags a chair towards the restroom and I wonder what is sprouting in that little mind. I sit down for lunch and a little while later I suddenly hear my 3 year old yell from the restroom, “Mommy, help! Please switch on the lights, I’m in the dark!”

That is when I realize my 2 year old had decided it was “revenge time”. To execute an ingenious plan, the chair was dragged to where the restroom switches were and the switches were turned off. I sighted my 2 year old walking away content with the accomplishment. Since I was eating, I requested my 2 year old to go right back and switch the lights on for which the reply was a stern “NO!”. I had to leave my lunch midway and go switch the lights back on.

I couldn’t help laughing all by myself over what had happened and the naughtiness of my 2 year old. When my husband came home in the evening I narrated the incident. He laughed away and said, “The younger one observes and picks up all the mischievous stuff from the elder one and later uses it to get back. The elder one should stop doing naughty things for a change.”
